About Elephant Bedroom Camp
Set on the lush banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Samburu National Reserve, Elephant Bedroom Camp is surrounded by doom palms and other indigoenous trees and shrubs. The camp is small and intimate and was designed with simple elegance inspired by the textures and colors of African nature.
The 12 spacious en-suite tents each has a private veranda overlooking the river. The stylish lounge and dining tent is hung with original oil paintings, its large veranda offering guests a view of the tranquil surroundings. Breakfast and lunch are served alfresco on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Candlelit gourmet dinners are set either under the African sky or inside the romantic dining area. Samburu warriors provide nightly entertainment. Lectures on Samburu culture are also available. The rugged hills behind the camp provide a scenic backdrop for the herds of elephant that, true to its name, regularly visit the camp at night. Elephant Bedroom Camp is environmentally sensitive and believes in responsibly enhancing the environment on a sustainable basis. The camp employs members of local community and also contributes to the education of this community.
