Overlooking its own private and secluded beach between Mombasa and Diani, Tijara Beach Boutique Hotel is a perfect location for a peaceful, romantic holiday. Situated approximately 9km south of Mombasa Island, the house is a luxurious retreat. There are 4 cottages in 5 acres of beachfront gardens, made up of 3 standard and 1 honeymoon. Every cottage has an ocean view, thatched roof, ceiling fan, handcrafted Swahili furniture, private veranda and bathroom with a view. Meals can be taken in the open dining room, on the guests’ veranda, on the cliff overlooking the beach or in any other location. The chefs specialise in fresh seafood and coastal cuisine. The freshwater swimming pool is surrounded by a sunbathing terrace. A masseuse offers massage and beauty treatments. WiFi is complimentary. Activities include snorkelling on the reef, bird watching, beach walks and cave walks. Trips to the 3 Mombasa golf courses, Shimba Hills National Park, Mombasa Old Town and Fort Jesus can be arranged, as can deep sea fishing, scuba diving, dolphin watching and kite surfing.
