About Honeymoon House

Honeymoon House sits high on the sand dunes, looking down on Shela Beach. This expansive house has a wealth of facilities, including an L-shaped 30-meter swimming pool traversing its courtyard garden, a media room and three boats. The staff of 12 includes a house manager, chefs, guards and boat captains.

The house is built on a large scale, with high ceilings, sweeping staircases, towering columns, spacious terraces and huge communal spaces. The 5 en-suite bedrooms are elegantly furnished with Lamu furniture and antiques, and their wall niches are adorned with ostrich eggs and brass ornaments. Every room has WiFi, an intercom and a safe. The two bandas in the grounds can be used for relaxing during the day or sleeping at night. The media room has a TV, projector, huge selection of DVDs, printer, scanner and cushioned seating around the room. The dining table seats 20.

The kitchen is fully equipped, and the chef discusses each meal with the guests before preparing it. Solar power, a generator and mains 3-phase electricity provide power. Reverse osmosis provides plentiful drinking water and ice. Two speedboats and a dhow are available for boat trips or water skiing. Weddings, honeymoons, parties and birthdays can be organised.
