About Mara Leisure Camp

On the banks of the Talek River, Mara Leisure Camp offers views of the river and the animals that come to it to drink. The camp is located near Talek Gate, just outside the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

There are 25 en-suite tents, made up of 17 nyati tents, 6 jumbo tents and 2 family jumbo tents. The nyati tents have twin beds, wooden floor, mosquito net and veranda with a view of the river. The jumbo tents are more spacious and have, in addition, minibar and bathtub. The family jumbo tents are interconnecting and have a common meeting area for meals or relaxation. There are also 3 jamil cottages which are interconnecting, suitable for families.

The camp offers game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, as well as game walks outside the reserve. Cultural visits to local Maasai villages are also available. The resident naturalist gives lectures and slideshows on the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Bush breakfasts and dinners can be arranged for an extra charge. The masseuse offers Swedish massage. The conference hall seats 60 pax, and is equipped with overhead projector and PA system. Teambuilding such as treasure hunts can be arranged. The camp also has a swimming pool, lounge, curio shop and medical clinic.
