About Giriama Residence

Giriama Residence is an attractive whitewashed house with a friendly atmosphere. The house is located near the main Watamu junction and is convenient for all the shops, restaurants and bars of Watamu.

There are 6 en-suite rooms, made up of 4 doubles and 2 family rooms. All rooms have carved 4-poster bed, table, chairs, fan and mosquito net. The spacious family rooms have 1 double and 2 single beds. A fully equipped communal kitchen is on the ground floor. There is also a self-catering apartment, with 1 bedroom, bathroom, living room and fully equipped kitchen. Children’s beds can be provided, if required. The apartment has a private terrace and garden. If guests prefer not to cook for themselves, a selection of African and international dishes is available, advance booking necessary.

The 1st floor seating area has comfortable sofas and a selection of books, DVDs, CDs and games. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day. Soft drinks and beers are for sale. The garden has a barbecue and a thatched dining area. Giriama Residence operates with environmentally conscious policies: food waste is composted and vegetables are home grown, and water is stored in a large underground storage tank. Trips to Msoloni, a traditional Giriama village, which offers a real African experience, can be arranged.
