About Cove Retreat and Gazi Tented Retreat

Situated in a private cove alongside a fishing community, Cove Retreat is a unique collection of tree houses. Its rustic design and secluded location make it a true retreat from modern living.

There are 6 tree houses, each in its own baobab tree. Each tree house has its own Jacuzzi, terrace and bathroom with sea view. Jicho Bar serves soft drinks, wines, beers, spirits and cocktails. The Sea View Restaurant has an a la carte menu; guests can eat in the restaurant or in their tree house. The infinity pool has a sundeck and bar seats. Health and beauty treatments are given in the guests’ tree house.

The retreat is all inclusive; meals, facilities, drinks and transfers are included. Local excursions for snorkelling, sailing and mangrove trips can be arranged with the local community in dug out canoes and outriggers. Bush walks and visits to the nearby village are also available.

Sport fishing and scuba diving can be arranged externally. Weddings are designed individually to suit the couple’s taste. The retreat supports the local community by leasing its land and has built a landing site for fishermen and a primary school.

Sister resort, Gazi Tented Retreat, is a beachfront tented camp in remote and unspoilt Gazi Bay. Palm studded gardens slope down to the beach. There are 8 en-suite Bedouin style tents overlooking the circular swimming pool and sundeck.

Both camps are adult only retreats.
