About Kerio View

From this idyllic spot on the escarpment, Kerio View has panoramic views over the stunning Kerio Valley. Its glass-fronted restaurant and cottages ensure magnificent views on all sides.

There are 28 en-suite rooms, including 16 rooms built in 2009, made up of singles, doubles and triples. The rooms are dotted about the gardens and have glass fronts facing the valley. All rooms have polished wooden floors, are furnished with armchairs, coffee tables and telephones and decorated with art done by an artist from Kericho. The restaurant has a continental menu including ginger and carrot soup, honey-glazed gammon ham, chateaubriand and chocolate mousse. There are also weekly specials including an eat-all-you-can barbecue. Private dining booths in the garden overlook the valley.

The conference hall seats 65 pax. Sports matches and marathons are shown on a large screen in the hall. Because of its altitude, Kerio View is popular with the local athletes and marathon runners this area is famed for. There is a fully equipped gym. From January to March, paragliders jump from the hills; tandem jumps are available.

Excursions and safaris can be booked here, notably trips to Cheblock Gorge, Lake Baringo, Kapenguria, the Marich Pass and Lake Turkana.
