Tucked into a grove of riverine woodland on the banks of the Talek River, Naibor is a luxury tented camp in a contemporary style. The camp is strategically placed to view game all year round, and particularly during the wildebeest migration.
There are 7 en-suite tents, constructed of pale canvas and furnished with large fig wood beds, wide sofas and woven rugs. The bathrooms have safari showers and the shady verandas have private views of the surrounding vegetation. Meals are served in the graceful mess tent or beneath the trees overlooking the hippos in the river. Sundowners are served around the campfire or in the bush.
Activities include game drives in open sided 4WD vehicles, which are equipped with fridges to ensure fresh picnics and ice cold drinks. Cultural visits to local Maasai villages are also on offer, and balloon safaris can be booked from here. Naibor Spa offers massage, reflexology, manicure and pedicure.
Naibor’s boutique has launched a stunning range of handcrafted jewellery, and also showcases striking items designed by local Maasai women. The camp supports the local community by providing employment, and by contributing to projects that improve the health and education of the local people.
Nearby Little Naibor and Naibor Wilderness are operated by Naibor and offer privacy and exclusivity. All Naibor camps are keenly eco-friendly.
