About New Bahati Lodge

Previously called Tausi Guest House, New Bahati Lodge is a thatched building on the seafront of Lamu Old Town. The lodge is attached to Bush Gardens Restaurant; its reception is in the restaurant and its rooms are entered through the restaurant.

There are 5 en-suite double rooms and a rooftop honeymoon suite. All rooms have fan and mosquito net. Bush Gardens Restaurant, owned by the charismatic Bush, specialises in seafood, including deep fried squid, prawns and fish. Fresh juices and shakes are available; no alcohol is served. Outdoor catering and birthday parties can be arranged. The sister cyber café is in Lamu Old Town, a short distance from Bush Gardens Restaurant.

The Raspberry Boat is fully equipped with snorkelling gear and fishing equipment. Day trips can be arranged and lunch is served on board. Sundowner cruises and other boat trips are also available. The convenient seafront location near the jetty makes this ideal for booking boat trips, and for the shuttle boat service to the airport. It is also close to Lamu Museum, the donkey sanctuary and all the seafront shops and restaurants.
