About Jahazi Resort

On the banks of Mida Creek, Jahazi Resort is a house in coastal Swahili style. The house is close to Watamu Marine National Park and Watamu’s famous 7km Long Beach.

The house has whitewashed walls and Arabic arches. The 5 en-suite rooms are made up of 3 doubles and 2 twins. All rooms have mosquito nets and aircon, and the master suite also has a dressing room and bathroom with bathtub. The house also has a spacious living area, a rooftop terrace with makuti thatched shade roof and a swimming pool surrounded by sunbathing deck. Relaxation spaces are dotted around the tropical garden, as well as some beach seating on a coral rock overlooking the creek.

The house is staffed and is taken on a full board basis. The staff can assist with organising activities including sundowner cruises, bird watching and treks in nearby Arabuko Sokoke Forest. Water sports available in Watamu include water skiing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling, scuba diving and deep sea fishing.

The house is managed by Jambo Chester Hotels; sister properties are Mutara Camp in Laikipia and Impala Ecolodge in Kisumu. Visits to all three can be arranged.
