About Mara Bush Camp private wing

Sister camp to Mara Bush Camp, the Private Wing offers more exclusivity and privacy. The camp is on the banks of the seasonal Olare Orok River overlooking a hippo pool. Centrally located in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the camp is a short drive from the spots at which the wildebeest often cross the river during the Great Migration.

The 12 en-suite tents are raised on wooden decks; 8 tents including 2 family tents are on the river while 4 tents are in the croton forest. All tents have 4-poster beds, desks, arm chairs and private verandas. The mess tent is comfortably furnished and adorned with local crafts; the bar has a wide selection of wines and cocktails. Meals can be served in the mess tent, on the guests’ veranda or in the bush. The photo lounge has a charging station. The hippo deck gives views of the river and the animals that come to it to drink. The camp is not fenced and animals wander freely through it.

Activities include game drives, guided game walks and cultural visits to local Maasai villages. Activities for children include archery and more with Maasai guides, children’s books, board games. The camp uses solar power.
