Porini Cheetah Camp is one of only two permanent camps in the exclusive wildlife conservancy of Ol Kinyei. This beautiful wilderness area, exclusive to Porini Camps, has savannah plains, riverine forest and fresh springs.
The 6 en-suite tents are near the Olare Lemunyi watercourse that attracts plentiful game. The tents are furnished in traditional, elegant safari style, have double and single beds, and the bathrooms contain safari showers. The whole camp is powered by solar and has plentiful charging points and fans. The food is freshly prepared, and includes homemade bread and crisp salad, and the bar is fully stocked. Game drives cover the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, Naboisho Conservancy and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Night drives in the conservancy give guests the chance to see the more elusive nocturnal game. Maasai warriors lead walks in the conservancy, and speak about how the various indigenous animals and plants are used by their community.
The conservancy belongs to a Maasai community that allocated the area a sanctuary for wildlife, and contains a wide variety of animal and bird species, including a resident pride of lion. The local Maasai community receives income for each guest in the conservancy, and employment for its members.
