About Selenkay Adventure Camp

In Selenkay Conservation Area, Selenkay Adventure Camp gives access to this private conservancy in a simple camp. The 15,000-acre private game reserve, owned by the Kisonko clan of the Maasai people, is an important wildlife corridor for animals moving in and out of Amboseli National Park. This area has known little tourism and in addition to the big mammals, rare game such as caracal, African wildcat, civet, gerenuk and striped hyena are seen here. Birdlife is prolific.

There are 9 small dome tents, each with space for 2 pax. Each tent has a tented bathroom behind with a flush loo and safari shower. Mattresses and pillows are provided; visitors bring their own sleeping bags and towels. The team of staff heats water for showers, cooks tasty meals and serves the food in the open sided dining tent. The KPSGA-certified safari guide hosts the camp and offers game drives and nature walks. Drinking water is provided and other drinks are available.

Activities include game drives in shared vehicles in the conservancy and a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park with a picnic lunch. Night game drives and guided nature walks are also on offer. All Porini Camps are firmly eco-friendly.
