About Mara Crossings Camp

On the banks of the Mara River, Mara Crossings Camp looks out over the Mara River. During the Great Migration the animals often cross the river at points close to the camp, giving the camp its name.

The 8 spacious en-suite tents are made up of 4 doubles and 4 that can be twin or triple. There’s also a tented suite suitable for families or honeymooners. The tents are elegantly decorated in deep red and rich cream, with woven rugs, antique chests, lanterns, and adornments from the bush. All tents have a private veranda overlooking the river. The expansive suite is raised on a wooden deck, and comprises 2 bedrooms joined by a lounge. The team of staff is on hand to cater to the visitors’ requirements.

The lounge tent has hand crafted wooden furniture, safari lanterns, antique rugs and a fully stocked bar, and is adorned with local crafts and African artefacts. Meals are served in the elegant dining tent, beside the campfire, or in the guests’ tent; the food combines fresh flavours with traditional dishes. Game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve can be taken in shared or private vehicles. Balloon safaris can also be arranged.
