About Tafaria Castle

Founded in 2012, Tafaria Castle is near the Aberdare Ranges. The castle is a lodge, conference centre, museum and arts centre.

The property has 57 rooms. In the castle, the Lord’s Room has en-suite bedroom and sitting room; the Lord’s Chamber has en-suite bedroom, sitting room and study; and the Lord’s Court has 7 en-suite bedrooms. The remaining rooms are in the Damsel Quarters, Damsel Plus Quarters, Knight Quarters, the Viking Quarters, the Lost Knight, the Enclaves, the Manor House and the Old House.

The castle’s grounds have a swimming pool, tennis court, archery, basketball, volleyball, badminton and outdoor gym. In the castle is a games room, art gallery and disco in the dungeon. Activities include horse riding, carriage rides, bird watching and trekking, Nearby attractions include the Aberdares and Solio Ranch. The conference centre can accommodate 300 and is made up of the Roundtable, the Horseshoe and the Think Tank. goDream Life-skills, goDream Leadership and goDream Sports are interactive programmes for students. Tafaria Centre for the Arts has an amphitheatre, gallery, studios and workshops, and offers an artists’ residency programme. Weddings can be arranged. The Tafaria Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that funds projects to empower the local community.
