About Oaseas

This exquisite house stands in the centre of Che Shale Beach. Yolanda McIntyre, of Yolanda McIntyre Interiors, designed and decorated the house in collaboration with Anthony Forbes and Marzia Chierecetti.

The house is built from pale coral stone in Moroccan Swahili style. It centres on an open courtyard with a swimming pool surrounded by tropical palms. Arches of coral stone surround the pool, and the rooms lead off them. There are four en-suite bedrooms, decorated with African art, and adorned with colourful cushions and fabrics. The kitchen is fully stocked and equipped, and there is a wealth of comfortable seating areas in nooks around the house. Tropical plants grow in the courtyard and throughout the house. A team of staff looks after the house, including a chef who cooks meals according to the requirements of the guests. Seafood and vegetables can be bought locally. The house is taken as a whole, by one group at a time, and can sleep up to eight people.

Che Shale Beach is famous for kite surfing; other water sports and boat trips are also available here. Nearby Malindi has a historic Old Town, as well as plenty of shops, markets, restaurants and bars.
