About Elangata Olerai Luxury Camp

Elangata Olerai Luxury Camp was established in 2011. The camp is an intimate tented camp just outside the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

There are 10 en-suite tents. All tents are designed with African wood in Swahili style. A paved walkway links the tents, 5 of which have 2 double beds and 5 of which have Swahili double beds. There is also a bar, lounge and deck for sundowners. African and international cuisine is served, and the camp offers a weekly barbeque which includes local and international dishes.

The camp offers community guiding, using the expertise of local community members to introduce visitors to landscapes and animals that they understand. Activities, available for a surcharge, include nature walks, visits to a nearby hippo pool, sundowners, bush meals and night game drives. Also available are cultural visits to a local Maasai village and Maasai dancing.

Packages including flights to and from the Maasai Mara National Reserve can be arranged from destinations in Kenya and Tanzania.
