About Mara Ngenche

At the confluence of the Mara River and the Talek River, Mara Ngenche is an intimate, exclusive tented camp. The camp combines luxury and elegance with true bush experience, and is unfenced to allow the free movement of animals.

There are 6 spacious en-suite tents. Each tent is decorated with modern African décor, and has a 4-poster king size bed, bathtub and outside shower with a view. The dining and lounge area is open sided, with a view of the hippo pools in the river. Breakfast is served alfresco; sundowners are served around an open fire. Meals are a blend of local and international flavours. Dinner can be served in the dining area, on the veranda of the guests’ tent or under the stars.

Game drives in open sided vehicles take place in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Cultural visits to local Maasai villages are also on offer. Bush meals, picnics and sundowners are all available. The resident naturalist gives lectures on Maasai culture, and Maasai moran entertain guests with traditional singing and dancing. Mara Ngenche is environmentally sensitive and takes responsibility to conserve the environment on a sustainable basis. The camp employs members of the local community.
