About Mara Serena Safari Lodge
Perched on the saddle of a hill, the Mara Serena Safari Lodge has a spectacular view across the vast plains, forests and rivers of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The lodge has been designed within a circular cluster of brushwood, to mirror a Maasai village or Boma, and all the guest rooms are located in individual domed huts like Maasai manyattas.
The lodge’s furnishings have been inspired by local Maasai art giving the impression of a traditional bush encampment, while also providing Serena’s modern touches.
The lodge has 1 presidential suite, 20 double rooms with king size beds, 53 twin rooms and 8 interconnecting rooms. All the rooms are en-suite, and have a private balcony with a view across the plains, and their interiors are styled in exuberant African colours reminiscent of Maasai art. A traditional safari style dining room serves international cuisine, and Riverside Bar provides local and international drinks. Guests are also welcome to eat at the Hippo swimming pool if they choose. Nightly entertainment includes local musicians, Maasai dances, wildlife films and talks. As well as game drives and bird walks, activities include dawn balloon safaris followed by a champagne breakfast. Mara Serena Safari Lodge has a gold award from Ecotourism Kenya.
