About Masai Mara Sopa Lodge

On the slopes of the Ololaimutiek Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge has sweeping views across the eastern edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The lodge is designed in the style of the Maasai; its guest rooms and public areas are traditional round buildings with thatched roofs.

There are 88 en-suite double rooms and 12 suites. All rooms have 2 queen size beds, mosquito nets on their windows and a veranda with a view. The central dining area, adorned with polished wood and Maasai fabrics, serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals can be served outside on request. The 3 bars are well stocked with soft drinks, beers and spirits, and equipped with TV. Board games are available at reception. There is also a swimming pool with a children’s section. The lodge is powered by generators, which run 24hrs.

Activities include game drives, game walks, cultural visits to nearby Maasai villages and nightly wildlife feeding. For an extra charge, balloon safaris can be booked here. Conferences and weddings can be arranged. Masai Mara Sopa Lodge has a bronze award from Ecotourism Kenya.
