About Porini Bush Camp
An authentic mobile camp, Porini Bush Camp is a seasonal camp that operates only during the months that the famous wildebeest migration passes through Kenya. The camp is located in Ol Kinyei Conservancy on the border of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, an award-winning conservancy of 18,700 acres that is home to a wide number of species of animals and birdlife. All the big cats are found here, including a resident pride of lion. Only one other camp, Porini Mara Camp, is located in this private conservancy, giving visitors an exclusive viewing experience.
The camp has no permanent structures, and is completely removed at the end of the migration, making it truly eco-friendly. The 8 en-suite tents are comfortably furnished with twin or double beds, and safari chairs and table; gas and solar lamps provide lighting around the camp. The campfire makes an attractive place for guests to meet for sundowners, and the dining tent serves fresh, quality breakfasts, lunches and 3-course dinners.
Activities in the conservancy include day and night game drives, nature and bird walks, and bush breakfasts and sundowners. The camp’s experienced and qualified guides also offer game drives in the adjacent Naboisho Conservancy and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The camp is open from 15th July to 15th October.
