Situated on the banks of the Talek River, Tipilikwani Camp overlooks the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
There are 20 en-suite tents, adorned with Maasai colours and fabrics, with veranda and dressing area; 6 tents have a king size double bed and 14 have queen size twin beds. Two adjoining tents share a veranda and provide ideal accommodation for a family, and their bathrooms are more spacious and have bath and shower. The dining and lounge tent is open-sided, shaded by a thatched roof and has views across the river to the open savannah. Wifi is available. Dinner is served in the dining area, on the veranda of the guests’ tent or under the stars. Local Maasai warriors provide traditional entertainment on request. The resident naturalist is available to give lectures on Maasai culture on request.
Activities include game drives, bush breakfasts, and cultural visits to local Maasai villages. Tipilikwani Camp believes in responsible and sustainable tourism. The camp provides access to free, clean water from its borehole to the neighbouring community, which has resulted in the elimination of typhoid fever in this area. Atua Enkop operates the camp, along with sister camps Mbweha Camp, Elephant Bedroom Camp and Mara Ngenche Safari Camp.
