About Zebra Plains Camp

As its name suggests, Zebra Plains Camp has views across the game filled plains of the Maasai Mara. The camp is owned and operated by professional safari guide Alfred Korir, who has 12 years’ experience as a safari guide and camp manager. Alfred has worked in Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa and holds guiding qualifications from both Kenya and South Africa.

The en-suite tents can be singles, doubles or triples as required, and are furnished with 4-poster beds, bright rugs, luggage racks, reading tables and attractive lamps. Their verandas have safari chairs and great views. The family tent can sleep up to 6. There are two lounges, the main one with an adjoining bar, both furnished with comfortable and colourful sofas and armchairs. Meals are served in the main dining area, the shaded outdoor dining area or on the wooden deck. The campfire makes a lovely place to sip a sundowner or an after-dinner drink.

Activities include game drives with the team of Maasai guides, nature walks to get closer to the animals and to see the smaller creatures, and cultural visits to nearby Maasai villages. Photography safaris and sundowners in the bush can also be arranged. Balloon safaris are available for an extra cost.
