About Reef Hotel

Reef Hotel is set in spacious beachfront gardens, and offers a selection of restaurants, bars, conference rooms, water sports and nightly entertainment. The hotel opened in 1972 and was extensively refurbished in 2005.

There are 134 en-suite rooms, made up of 96 standard sea facing, 23 garden wing and 15 superior sea facing. All rooms have aircon, fan, satellite TV, safe, telephone and balcony with a view. The superior rooms also have minibar and hairdryer. The conference centre has a selection of rooms, all equipped with PA system and LCD projector. The amphitheatre seats 350 pax and is ideal for weddings, product launches and corporate functions. The lounge, with bar and sea view terrace, seats 250 pax. The garden view hall seats 100; the pool view hall seats 80; the crew lounge seats 45 and 02 seats 40. Moonshine Beach Bar is Nyali’s most popular entertainment venue.

Reef Hotel has a facility with Buccaneer PADI 5 star dive school. Other activities include dhow boat trips, kayaking, windsurfing, kite surfing, sailing and deep sea fishing. The Toto Club organises activities for children. Weddings, honeymoons, birthday parties and other functions can all be arranged. One Earth Safaris, affiliated to Reef Hotel and Shimoni Reef Lodge, can arrange excursions and safaris around Kenya and Tanzania.
