In the lovely grounds of a 900-acre farm, Kembu offers a collection of characterful cottages. With a wide variety of activities, dining options and facilities, Kembu has something for everyone. The romantic Acacia Cottage has an en-suite double room and an attractive conservatory. The Yellow Room has an en-suite twin room. Kenana Cottage has 2 en-suite twin rooms, living room, kitchen, veranda and private garden. Albizia Cottage has an en-suite double room, en-suite twin room, living room, kitchen, veranda and private garden. Mutati Cottage has a double room, twin room, living room, kitchen, bathroom and balcony. All these cottages are hosted for meals at the farmhouse, or can dine privately.
In the campsite, the Tree House, in a huge bougainvillea, has a double room with balcony, while Cobb’s Carriage, a renovated 1920s Mvuli caravan, has a double room and living room. Both these use the bathroom facilities in the campsite. Camping and bedding equipment is available for hire. Kembu has a lively bar, barbecue, splash tank, badminton, volleyball, dartboard, pool table, postal, fax and email services. Local attractions include Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Bogoria, Menengai Crater, Mau Forest and Kiplombe Valley. Walks on the farm are also recommended. Kembu is environmentally conscious and invests in tree planting and rain catchment.
