About Maili Saba Camp

On the edge of the stunning, dormant Menengai Crater, Maili Saba Camp is a tranquil retreat. Guests can do game drives in the nearby Lake Nakuru National Park or can simply relax and enjoy the views from the camp.

There are 10 en-suite tents, made up of 8 doubles and 2 family tents. The tents have stone floors and are shaded by thatched roofs. They are adorned with attractive artefacts and kerosene-style lanterns, and have verandas overlooking the crater. There is also a cottage that can accommodate 6 pax, with stone walls and thatched roof. The cottage has 1 master en-suite double bedroom, 2 twins, bathroom, sitting room, kitchen and veranda. The main building houses the restaurant, bar and lounge with open fireplace. Meals are table d’hote; live cooking can be arranged for groups. Guests are welcome to use the internet in the manager’s office. The swimming pool is surrounded by a lovely garden, furnished with sunbeds.

Activities include game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park; morning drives, evening drives or full day game drives with bush lunches are all on offer. Nature walks into Menengai Crater take about 2ó hours. Horse riding can be arranged with advance notice. Transfers to and from Nairobi can be arranged.
