About Sungura

On the shores of Lake Naivasha, this collection of cottages has lovely views of the lake and the animals that graze on its shores.

The Cow Shed is a lakeside cottage with 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, barbecue with outdoor dining area and an upstairs balcony with views of the lake. The Folly, a round tower with a peaked green roof, is exactly that. It looks just like an architect’s folly – Rapunzel’s tower looking out over the animals grazing beside Lake Naivasha. The Folly has a double bedroom, bathroom; cooking equipment includes gas stove and microwave.

Activities in the Lake Naivasha area include boat trips on the lake, game watching around the lake and eating at the many restaurants along its shores. Crescent Island – a crescent-shaped piece of land attached to the banks – offers walking amongst the animals and birds that reside there. Hells Gate National Park has jagged cliffs and a striking gorge, and a wealth of animal and bird species; activities include rock climbing, biking, hiking and camping. Attractions further afield include Nakuru National Park and the archaeological sites of Hyrax Hill and Kariandusi.
