Near Samburu’s famed Ewaso Nyiro Rover, Naibor Samburu is a luxury mobile camp. The camp is seasonal and operates only during the seasons when the remote and stunning Samburu National Reserve is at its best.

The 6 en-suite tents are decorated in traditional safari style with comfortable beds, wooden chests, elegant lamps, woven rugs and vases of flowers. Their verandas have safari chairs and table, and their bathrooms have safari showers. The open-sided mess tent is shaded by doum palms, and has dining area and lounge. The chef serves fresh and tasty cuisine, and can also provide picnics and bush meals.

The camp is offered on an exclusive basis to one group at a time. Game drives in this area might see Samburu’s ‘Special Five’: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and the gerenuk. A highlight of this location is the resident ‘Royal Herd’ of elephants.

The camp is keenly eco-friendly: light and water heating is solar power. As with the Maasai Mara Naibor Camps, the camp recycles, reuses, sources local organic produce and employs staff from the local community. The team believes in making a sustainable difference to local communities, protecting the wildlife and educating the younger generation.
