About Baobab Beach Resort and Spa

Set in indigenous forests, Baobab Beach Resort & Spa is surrounded by grounds humming with over 100 species of birds, 4 species of monkeys and other forest dwelling wildlife. The resort won the TUI Environmental Champion Award in 2006 and 2007.

The Baobab main building has 87 sea facing rooms. There are also 68 garden bungalows with a garden view and 28 superior bungalows with partial sea view. The new Maridadi Wing has 36 superior rooms, 8 deluxe rooms and 12 deluxe bungalows, all with views of the sea or the 3-tier cascading pool. All rooms are en-suite and well equipped. Interconnecting rooms and rooms for guests with disabilities are available. Karibu Restaurant serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has evening entertainment. Maridadi Restaurant, overlooking the beach, serves light lunches and Asian buffet dinners. Marhaba Restaurant, not included in full board, serves a la carte seafood. Jambo Pool Bar has seats in the pool and beside it.

Porini Amphitheatre is an open air disco. Afya Bora Wellness Club and Spa has a fully equipped gym and offers treatments including aromatic massage, mud wrap and Jacuzzi. Complimentary activities include archery, aquafit, beach volleyball and tennis. Activities available for a surcharge include scuba diving, deep sea fishing, sailing and golf. The resort has received a silver award from Ecotourism Kenya.
