About Kusini Beach Cottages

A charming collection of self-catering cottages, Kusini Cottages are beachfront on Galu Beach, with an infinity pool that appears to tumble onto the beach. The cottages opened in 2006 and were refurbished in 2020.

There are 6 cottages, made up of 2 1-bedroom, 1 2-bedroom, 2 3-bedroom and 1 4-bedroom cottages. All bedrooms are en-suite. The cottages have large sitting rooms and their open air kitchens are fully equipped including all crockery, cutlery and glassware. They are whitewashed, with thatched roofs and wooden shutters. Each cottage is individually designed, and adorned with coastal furniture, bright cushions, woven wall hangings and stylish African artefacts. Most of the large open air balconies have a beach view, and all are equipped with dining table and chairs. Each cottage is staffed by a room steward and chef; nanny service and shopping service are available. Kusini Cottages have reduced their impact on the environment as much as possible, and are powered by solar power.

The lovely gardens are dotted with palm trees. The swimming pool has a separate children’s area; beside the pool is a beach bar, restaurant and thatched beachfront lounge with comfortable sofas and armchairs. Yoga retreats take place several times a year.
