About The Sands At Nomad

Originally known for Nomad, its popular beach bar and restaurant, The Sands at Nomad is an elegant boutique hotel. The Venetian stucco building is adorned with traditional Swahili furniture and hand-carved African artefacts. The hotel is set in 25 acres of indigenous coastal forest stretching along Diani Beach.

There are 29 en-suite rooms made up of 12 sea breeze rooms, 6 ocean view rooms, 3 family suites, 7 beach cottages and 1 luxury suite. All rooms are individually designed, and equipped with aircon, satellite TV and minibar. The suites also have private Jacuzzi, panoramic terrace and large sitting room. The Sands at Nomad holds Ecotourism Kenya’s silver award.

Nomad Beach Bar and Restaurant serves tropical buffet breakfast, and a la carte and buffet options for lunch and dinner, with a wide selection of international dishes including seafood, sushi, pizzas and pastas. The Juice Bar has freshly squeezed fruit juices and Italian ice cream. The Red Pepper Restaurant serves traditional Kenyan cuisine. Exclusive garden or beachfront barbecues can be arranged. Indulge, a fine dining experience, has multiple courses and wine pairings and needs to be booked in advance.

Forest Breeze offers massage, manicure, pedicure and a selection of beauty treatments. Diving the Crab, in front of the hotel, offers dive courses, wreck exploration and whale shark spotting. Other water sports such as kite surfing, windsurfing, kayaking and deep sea fishing are also available.
