About Zum Zum Beach House

This elegant coastal house sits in gardens of palms and baobabs on Galu Beach. Built with love over many years by an adventurous couple from Belgium, the house opened to guests in 2020.

There are 5 en-suite bedrooms, 4 on the ground floor and 1 set into the sloping gardens. The rooms can be taken separately, all the house can be taken as a whole. Each room is designed individually, and all have whitewashed walls, colourful rugs, handcrafted furniture, artistic cushions and African art. The spacious living areas are whitewashed, with plentiful white sofas and cushions with African designs. The library has books in four languages. The kitchen is well equipped. Breakfast and light lunch are provided; dinner is excluded. Meals and drinks can be served on the sweeping verandas or beside the pool

The owners live in one section of the house and can help with restaurant and activity bookings. The large swimming pool is between the house and the beach; the sunbathing terrace has sunbeds and umbrellas. Petanque and other games are in the garden. Nearby activities include safari, dhow cruise, water sports, deep sea fishing, quad biking and golf. Eco-policies include a huge rainwater catchment tank.
