Beside the Galana River, looking across into Galana Conservancy, Kudu Camp is a welcoming safari camp.
The 16 en-suite tents are made up of singles, doubles and family tents. In a semi circle, the tents are raised from the river on a small ridge. All tents have solid stone floors, are shaded by makuti thatched roofs, and verandas with views of the river.
The open-sided dining area has a tall makuti thatched roof, and tables overlooking the river. The infinity swimming pool beside the river has a stone terrace furnished with sunbeds, a bar surrounded by tables and chairs, a barbecue and a massage area .Restaurants include the River Restaurant, Barbecue Restaurant and Kudu Lounge Bar. Sundowners around the pool catch the sun setting over the river. Game drives can be done in the guests’ vehicle; game drives in the camp’s vehicle should be booked in advance.
As well as the Galana Conservancy, highlights of Tsavo East include Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock. Yatta Plateau is the longest solidified lava flow in the world and Lugard’s Falls is a waterfall that tumbles through eroded rocks into crocodile pools.
