Zanzibar Yoga & Music Retreat: Come Flow with Mie
Yoga. Nature. Music. Escape the cold and nourish yourself with a whole week of yoga, soaking up vibrant energy of Zanzibar - sunshine, ocean, music, inspiring culture and people.
This personalised yoga immersion week is hand-tailored for you by Mie who has lived in Tanzania for many years, with the unique blend of profound yoga, music, healing nature, healthy food and people with good energy.
Nature in Zanzibar has special energetics, making this one of the most ideal places in the world to practice yoga and cultivate our wellbeing, supporting the process of coming back to yourself, rejuvenating your energy like no other place. Zanzibar offers us space and freedom to be ourselves: we create a peaceful and supportive environment to reflect, observe, nourish, and bring natural balance back to our body, mind and energy.
Mie’s wish is that this retreat becomes the magical place where you can participate in active self-care rituals and transform and balance your energy, beginning to feel fully present and awake, bringing more perspective to our your holistic wellbeing.
You will go home with new energy, fully inspired, nourished, and recharged.
The practice is open-level at beautiful and spacious yoga Shala, directly facing a tranquil white sand beach. Take your practice to a deeper level through mindful vinyasa flow yoga approach, breathing techniques, and powerful meditations.
Mie is a certified and an “Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT)” by Yoga Alliance. This acknowledges the experience of over 1,000 hours of teaching. You will be guided into asanas with clear instructions through well-combined sequences themed specially for each day. The sequence is based on healthy alignment of the body, and a pathway to enhance your energy (prana), tone and open up your body. For this retreat, there is a special focus on balancing our vital energy centres called chakras.
There are two practices daily (there is no afternoon practice on the 16th). Morning practice is focused on connecting movement and breath to awaken your energy and move it through all energy centres (chakras). Authentic and creative practice will include mantra, meditation, purifying breathing practices and well-rounded body movement. The morning session concludes with a profound full-body relaxation & sound healing.
Evening yoga sessions are designed to bring you back into the present moment and to help you release deep-seated tension in your muscles and tissues. You will be able to surrender and relax with a yin/restorative practice, which will help to activate meridians along the whole body and balance the flow of energy. This session will help you to calm the nervous system, find stillness and invite positive energy towards the end of the day.
Both practices will end with deep full body relaxation and sound healing.
