Narissa is a sound healing practitioner trained in Nepal and India. She works with Tibetan singing bowls, to cleanse and activate the chakras, send one into deep transcendental meditation, iron out mental and emotional stresses, and loosen up body and energetic blockages. She sometimes also incorporates the Indian bamboo flute (bansuri), Vietnamese dragon gong, and voice as tools of vibrational medicine.
Under her practice, Child of the Earth, Narissa teaches Nada yoga, Hatha yoga, Pranayama, daily mindfulness, and various forms of meditation. She works with the earth energy as guide and channel for all her practices and life decisions.
She has been sharing these tools around East Africa – in Nairobi, Mombasa, at the Lamu Yoga Festival, the Festival du Feminin, the Kilifi New Year Festival, the Zenerate retreat in Kilifi, in travels across the coastline from Malindi to Funzi Island to Zanzibar. She works with individuals and groups, from intimate trauma healing to large conference settings.
When she is not sitting on a rock meditating, Narissa can be found scribbling away in nooks and crannies for her backpacking blog, Nomad Girl Tales, or acquainting herself with remote communities living on the margins of this global village.
We have not been advised of any upcoming events with Narissa Allibhai.
