Nyamwathi is an ex-advertising Creative Writer / Creative Director turned Yoga Professional. An Experienced Internationally Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RTY 200) with over 1,000 hours teaching experience, she has been practicing yoga for over 18 years.
She was awarded first place yoga professional by the Indian High Commission - Nairobi, on International Yoga Day 2020 and teaches in Anglophone East Africa (Nairobi, Kenya) and Francophone West Africa (Dakar, Senegal). Her styles include Intuitive Vinyasa Flow, Alignment Based Hatha, Office Yoga, Restorative Yoga & Yin Yoga.
Each of her yoga classes incorporate a holistic approach to the eight limbs of yoga and incorporate breathwork (pranayama), meditation, mindfulness, energy work, massage and aromatherapy.
Her yoga/coaching programs help survivors of abuse and trauma heal, recover and reconnect to their true selves and inner power. The programmes are tailored to individuals’ needs and are a blend of traditional yoga practices & philosophies and modern psychology & therapy.
She is also a certified KinAesthetic® and Reiki® Therapist and has a Degree (BA) in Psychology and Philosophy.
Nyamwathi’s vision is to be a healer and teacher in service to others, helping transform and restore physiological and psychological wellbeing through the gift of yoga. She works with a range of private individual clients, small, medium and large groups, and businesses and corporates, designing personalised programmes to help them build capacity and achieve their unique goals and objectives in the areas of physical and mental fitness and wellness.
