About Lake Nakuru Lodge

Set in gardens overlooking a swimming pool, Lake Nakuru Lodge is in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is famed for its abundance of white rhino, and for the wide variety of birdlife, notably flamingos and pelicans, found on the striking lake that lies in the centre of the park.

The lodge has 94 rooms and suites, including Zebra Room which is now 100 years old. All rooms are furnished with rustic African furniture including 4-poster beds, and equipped with mosquito net, aircon, telephone and safe. All rooms have private verandas, with views of Lake Nakuru or the pool and garden.

Matarakwa Restaurant, with windows overlooking the park, serves international cuisine. Guests are also welcome to dine on the terrace or by the pool. Bush barbecues are available on request. Mama Niki Bar and Rhino Paddock Cocktail Bar serve soft drinks, beers and spirits. Nightly entertainment includes traditional dancing, performances by Lake Nakuru Choir and acrobatic shows.

The conference hall seats 70 pax, and is equipped with projector and PA system. The lodge also has wifi, telephone, fax and photocopy services. Game drives, bird watching and horse riding can be arranged for a surcharge. Lake Nakuru Lodge holds Ecotourism Kenya’s silver award.
