Kate is a 200-hours certified Baptiste Power Yoga and YOD level 1 teacher. She has been practicing and teaching yoga with Africa Yoga Project since 2016. She is also a 60-hours certified kids’ yoga teacher by Satyananda Yoga Centre, Brazil, with knowledge and skills to teach young children.
Kate started practicing yoga during her undergraduate degree studies in Environment and Natural Resources Management, after being introduced to yoga with a friend. After graduating however, due to the high unemployment rates experienced among youths in Kenya and her preference not to be employed, her genuine enthusiasm for yoga continued to grow. Catherine is now a self-employed yoga instructor seeking to enhance herself and the world at large.
Catherine teaches private yoga sessions, online classes and leads retreats nationwide. As an avid extreme hiker and mountaineer, Kate has gone further to bring yoga to the hiking community in Kenya where she has grown a practice of using yoga as a stretching priority for hikers. With her environmental course, Kate incorporates yoga with environmental sustainability as an enhancement to better and healthy lifestyles.
When she is not practicing or teaching yoga, she is either outdoors hiking, touring, spending time with family, farming and giving back.
We have not been advised of any upcoming events with Catherine Kamau.
