Based in Laikipia, Mélissa is equally passionate about her own practice and helping others develop theirs. She studied yoga in an international school in India. She teaches Sivananda Hatha Yoga and Yin Yoga. Most forms of yoga today are dynamic, active practices designed to work only half of our body: the muscular half, or yang tissues. Yin Yoga allows us to work the other half: the deeper yin tissues of our ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks and even bones. By spending longer in each posture, the opportunity for a deeper release of tensions, pain and blockages is made possible.
