Oriane is a certified advanced Dharma Yoga teacher, having qualified as a Yoga Instructor in 2004. Certified by Yoga Alliance and the Centered Yoga Institute, she also holds a Diploma in International Law and a Masters Degree in Finance and Marketing. She has been teaching yoga, mindfulness and meditation for over 15 years, and health coaching since 2018. She is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health and Wellness coach and supports her clients through lifestyle and nutritional changes, guiding them to lead a more balanced purposeful life.
She follows the Classical Hatha-Raja Yoga approach of Sri Dharma Mittra, a devotional practice that emphasises good health, a clear mind and a kind heart. Dharma Yoga has its roots in all nine forms of yoga and a focus on the Eight Limbs of Yoga. Previously she practiced Ashtanga daily for 15 years. In her classes Yoga is creative, therapeutic, practised mindfully, with attention to the breath and to the inner eye.
Oriane’s yoga journey is rooted in her daily devotional practices. This self-study has taught her genuine authenticity and to always have faith in the yoga system and its broad limitless power. Her approach to yoga is compassionate and designed to quiet the mind, to inspire the body through soft music, movement and breath and to support a variety of dynamic flows that incorporate breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation. With a compelling desire to inspire others, she brings an artistic spirit, an athletic background, and spontaneous humour to her classes. She helps students connect with their bodies in a graceful, accepting manner and describes her teaching style as intuitive yoga which emerges directly from her feelings and the ones of her students. In her classes, yoga is creative, therapeutic, practised mindfully, with attention to the breath and to the inner voice.
Oriane lives in the UK and Kenya, where she organises well-being safaris and yoga retreats.
