Yogi | Daniela Cellini

Daniela is director of the hospitality consultancy firm Outside the Lines. Her multifaceted experience in the hotel and restaurant industry has a demonstrated track record of exceptional delivery of over 30 years. As a postgraduate in Hospitality Management, Daniela started her career in food and beverage operations and management, which led to the design, construction and setting up of operations of all outlets for a casino conglomerate in Kenya. Her responsibilities subsequently expanded to include marketing and events. Her background and experience affords her a well-rounded understanding and expertise in Hospitality Project Management and Consultancy, and a perspective borne out of having played the roles of investor, developer, and operator.

Some of her projects include award-winning Mawimbi Seafood Restaruant and Café, Samaki Samaki, Off the Rocks, Beit é Selam, Chez Sonia, Gogol Pizza, Cave à Manger at The Wine Box in Nairobi, and La Griglia and Shogun Sushi Bar in Malindi.

Daniela made Kenya her home almost 30 years ago, first in Malindi and more recently in Nairobi, with offices in both Miami and Malindi at one point. It has been a true love affair, with the colours, smells, raw material and mostly the people of Kenya as constant inspirations to her creativity. With a European and American upbringing and education, hospitality expertise acquired throughout years of experience, Daniela offers a finesse and tenacity that is unequaled in the industry and one that combines both world-class training and execution experience with a deep and practical understanding of the Kenyan context.

In her free time, Daniela is often found on her yoga mat. She loves to travel and is an avid foodie. She is also proud mother and grandmother.
