As far as I can remember, sound has always fascinated me. As a young girl, I often walked on the beach, in the moonlight, ‘sounding’ with my voice with abandon, no words, just tones. I found it exhilarating and uplifting, a taste of things to come.

During my 20s, I used to love taking my sitar onto the rooftop and manipulating my voice to sound exactly like it. I’d get into ‘the zone’ with the toning and marvel at how good I felt! Many such experiments with sound have been sprinkled in varied ways throughout my life.

My interest in Sound Healing began in earnest when I lived in LA. As a health practitioner, I used sound to work with my clients for releasing tension, anxiety and depression. Then, as Sound Baths gained popularity, I attended many sessions and gave many myself, learning from other sound healers, sound workshops & conferences all over the US.

In the last five years, having left LA and on-the-roam, I was fortunate to do a month-long Sound training in Bali with Shervin Boolrian, as well as in India, with a teacher whose family were Sound healers for 20 generations! Whilst in India, I travelled to different areas to see how they hand-make the metal bowls, a fascinating and intricate process.

The healing power of sound is far reaching in its affects both physically and emotionally. I believe Sound will be the medicine of the future.
