About Lonno Lodge

This lodge’s moniker ‘the charming Lonno Lodge’ is entirely apt. The lovely lodge on Watamu’s beachfront is owner-managed; privacy and good service are a priority, and visitors have the feeling they’re being welcomed into the owner’s home.

There are 4 en-suite rooms and 4 suites. The spacious tower holds the 4 double rooms and has a shared lounge on the rooftop; the family suite has its own building, and 3 suites are housed in a building, 2 sea view and 1 garden view. All the rooms are formed of local coral, and adorned with African masks and carvings. They have dressing rooms, and have water dispenser, tea and coffee, minibar, safe, and TV with Netflix. The central building is elegantly decorated with artwork and has hand carved sofas, bar stools and ornaments.

The restaurant serves Italian cuisine with Kenyan influences and the menu changes daily; meals can be served in the restaurant, in the rooms or at the swimming pool. The salt-water swimming pool is surrounded by a sunbathing deck with sunbeds and umbrellas. The lodge is keenly eco-friendly, has no plastic, produces its own desalinated water and uses solar power. A massage room is on the beachfront. Water sports and boat trips can be arranged.
