About Serena Beach Hotel and Spa

On peaceful Shanzu Beach, Serena Beach Hotel and Spa offers a wide selection of facilities and activities. The hotel replicates the winding lanes and colourful market places of a 13th century Swahili town. At the centre lies the coral Fortress of Tranquillity, in which is found the Maisha Mind Body and Spirit Spa.

There are 66 village rooms, 48 garden rooms, 32 prime rooms and a selection of suites. All rooms have aircon, satellite TV, WiFi and telephone with voicemail. Family rooms are available and babysitting service is on offer. Central Restaurant serves pizza. Jahazi Grill, on the beach, serves seafood. There is also a selection of bars, dotted about the extensive beachfront gardens of the resort, including a swim-up bar in the freeform swimming pool. The resort also has the Arabic Coffee Terrace and an ice cream parlour.

The PADI scuba dive school offers scuba diving and an extensive range of water sports. The animation team offers a daily programme of activities. The conference centre has 3 conference halls, seating 80, 30 and 15 pax. All halls are fully equipped including aircon, WiFi, PA system, LCD projector and table microphones. The resort also has a business centre, unisex hair salon, gift shop, news stand, travel desk and taxi service. The wedding planning service works to ensure every couple gets the wedding they want.
