About DoubleTree by Hilton

The Hilton hotel chain was established by Conrad Hilton in 1919, and now has a multitude of brands including Hilton Hotels and Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts, and Tru by Hilton. Established in 2016 as Amber Hotel, this city hotel became a member of the DoubleTree by Hilton brand in 2018.

The 109 en-suite rooms are made up of standard, junior suites, executive suites and a penthouse. All rooms are decorated in sleek white and dark wood, and have minibar, kettle, TV, hairdryer, safe, aircon and a folder of information about the hotel and Nairobi. The penthouse, on the 7thfloor, has bedroom, sitting room with cooking facilities including microwave and two bathrooms.

The reception, with glittering chandelier, leads into a lounge with white leather sofas and fully stocked bar with large cocktail and mocktail list. The restaurant serves a wide menu including chicken stroganoff, butter fried salmon, burgers and steaks. Asian corner includes Thai pork ribs, aloo curry, dal fry, green curry and pad Thai. Buffet can be arranged. The conference centre has 5 fully equipped rooms; the 2 largest conference rooms can form a banqueting hall for 200 pax. There’s also a gym and swimming pool.
