About Diani Backpackers

Diani’s only hostel is a welcoming spot with rooms, dorms, buzzing bar and great parties. A short distance from Diani Beach, the hostel makes a good place to stay, or to hang out for the evening.

Of the 5 private rooms, 2 are in the main house and have aircon and en-suite bathrooms, and 3 are in garden cottages with shared bathrooms. The international dorm has 16 beds and a roof hung with flags from around the world; and the baobab dorm, built around a huge baobab has 12 beds. The 8-bed dorm and the 6-bed dorm are in the main house and have en-suite bathrooms. The restaurant, in the main house, serves local dishes.

The swimming pool is in the centre of the compound, next to the bar and games area with pool, table football, and beer pong. The large screen shows sports matches, YouTube videos and karaoke. The dance floor, with stone floor and bright awning, has a DJ station. The spa has treatments, massage and henna tattoos, and a visiting tattoo artist comes once a fortnight. The hostel is eco-friendly, reuses, refills and resells, and has NEMA certified rubbish separation. The parties here are vibrant, welcoming and can last all night.
