Located in a secluded valley in the north of Mara North Conservancy, Mara House overlooks the Ol Chorro waterhole. The house is a fully staffed private house from which guests can watch an array of wildlife and birdlife at close range.
There are 3 en-suite bedrooms. The house also has an open plan sitting and dining room, a den equipped with TV and DVD and a fully equipped kitchen. The swimming pool is shared with nearby Acacia House. WiFi is available throughout the house. Electricity is provided by solar power. The house is fully staffed, including chef, safari guide and night guard. The chef is happy to adapt his menus according to the preferences of the guests.
Safari itineraries are flexible. Activities include day and night game drives, and game walks, in the conservancy. Picnics in the bush and sundowners can be arranged. For an extra charge, game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve can be arranged. Visits to local Maasai villages, schools and markets are also on offer. Acacia House is managed by Asilia Africa. The house has been awarded the prestigious gold award by Ecotourism Kenya for its sustainable eco-policies.
