About Leleshwa Camp

Leleshwa Camp is an intimate tented camp situated on the Siana Conservancy on the northeastern edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Resting along a stream, overlooking picturesque hills and rolling plains dotted with resident game, Leleshwa Camp is a peaceful haven. The 6 en-suite tents have private verandas with striking views. The suite has an adjoining lounge, making it ideal for honeymooners or families. The tents are furnished with a simple elegance and are situated to give guests the utmost privacy. Meals can be served in the open mess tent or under the stars, surrounded by candles and hurricane lamps. The camp has no permanent structures and is entirely removable, in keeping with its philosophy of environmental sustainability. The camp recycles, reuses and composts where possible. The guests’ conservation fees contribute to local development projects including infrastructure, health, education and the environment.

As well as game drives and walks, the camp offers hiking in the Loita Hills in areas inaccessible to vehicles. Local Maasai guides lead guests through the 200km2 Sacred Forest, introducing them to cedar, podo and strangler fig trees, breathtaking waterfalls and spectacular birdlife and wildlife. The camp also runs photography workshops and has 6 computers fully equipped with the latest photography software.
